UNDER PARIS
This is pretty much exactly what you anticipate it to be! This Netflix movie is about a giant shark who gets caught … you guessed it … under Paris! The shark named Lilith has traveled through the Seine River just as the Mayor of Paris has planned a triathlon! Oh no!!!!! Overall, this is a really fun and, as expected, somewhat ridiculous movie that’s perfect for a date night viewing!
47 METERS DOWN
In the mood for something a little more serious? This shark movie is about two sisters who go cage diving while on a trip to Mexico. The problem arises when there’s a malfunction and the cage drops, leaving them trapped and hunted by a great white shark. More stark and stoic than the previous suggestion, but it’s still a really engaging and intense watch!
THE BLACK DEMON
Slightly more unique in setting than other shark movies, this follows a family trapped on an off shore oil rig which is being circled by a megalodon shark. The radio on the rig doesn’t work, and the rig is falling apart. Time is ticking to get to safety! This one was a good horror with a strong theme of greed.
ICE SHARKS
And now, to the arctic! As I’m sure you can ascertain, this isn’t the next Oscar winner, but it is a bonkers shark movie! Hungry sharks bust through the ice near a research station up in the Arctic! You’ll never guess what … actually, forget that. Yes, you will guess what happens, and it’s everything you want and more!
Of course, there are some more well-known shark movies such as Meg, Meg 2, The Shallows, Deep Blue Sea, and Sharknado. All awesome watches. Plus, if you’re looking for kid-friendly shark movies there’s Shark Tale and Soul Surfer.
